my photo teacher handed me one of her Prague prints tonight and told me this was going on her wall of best photos… imagine my surprise (and gloating - this was a great shot). How timely since it coincides with a pic jason directed me to yesterday:)

staying true to my theme this week:)

spent a lot of time shooting in the alley in front of my hotel. notice a theme here? my favorite time to shoot was between 1AM and 5AM…empty streets (meaning no tourists). plus, you can’t beat that heady feeling of being the only person awake. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, this caused a lack of subjects to shoot. Landscapes and scenery aren’t my thing. I like people in my photos -so I started experimenting with self portraits. I’ve done this in my regular art and now I’m finding this works really well for my photography too. No hassles - no whining - and I can ask the subject to put themselves in a risky or strenuous situation without guilt. Anyone else care to model for me?

seventeen years old - my first cat. he’s been thru coyote attacks, dog maulings and poisoning…life for cat in LA is rough. Good for him he’s got a caring and watchful owner like myself:)
